Nelson & Tillmann Family Dentistry
Most of what other offices refer out, Nelson & Tillmann handles on 900 East: wisdom teeth, implants and implant dentures, root canals, IV sedation, same-day CEREC crowns, and oral appliances for sleep apnea. Three dentists, one team you already know, and Spanish spoken at the front desk.
Nelson & Tillmann accepts most major insurance plans and our front desk handles the claims and paperwork. Bring your card and we'll confirm your benefits at check-in. No insurance? Ask about the VIP Membership Plan.
Our in-house membership plan is a straightforward alternative to insurance. $29/month covers your exams, cleanings, and X-rays, plus 20% off every other treatment. No deductibles, no yearly maximums, no waiting period. Periodontal patients: ask about the VIP Perio Plan at $44/month.
Dr. Tillmann says it plainly: down the street they do the same crowns and root canals. What's different here is how you're treated from the moment you check in, and how much stays in-house. Dr. Nelson is IV sedation certified and teaches it to other dentists, nitrous is plumbed into every operatory, and the office rule is simple: if anything hurts, you stop us and we fix it.
Surgery, implants and implant-retained dentures, endodontics, and most aligner cases are done here, not referred across town.
Laughing gas in every room, oral sedatives for longer visits, and IV sedation with Dr. Nelson or a nurse anesthetist for bigger cases. Many patients start sedated and later need only nitrous.
Your crown is designed on screen and milled in about 15 minutes. No temporary, no messy impressions, done in just over an hour.
OPTISLEEP custom oral appliances for snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea, and for CPAP patients who can't tolerate the mask. Dr. Tillmann's signature service.
First exams from 12 to 18 months, sealants around ages 6 and 12, and emergency care for all ages. Three dentists means your whole family can be seen together.
5888 S 900 E, Suite 101, with evening hours until 6 on Mondays and Thursdays, serving Murray, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Taylorsville, and Sandy.
Dr. Wes Tillmann is a second-generation dentist who grew up watching his father practice, graduated from Case Western Reserve in 2009, and has served 20 years in the Utah National Guard, including dental humanitarian missions abroad. Patients know him for sleep apnea care and for the patience he brings to people who are afraid of the chair.
Dr. Dane Nelson, a University of Utah and Roseman University graduate, is IV sedation certified and teaches sedation to other doctors; surgery, implants, and full-mouth cases are his specialty. Dr. Jordan Whatcott, a former professional baseball player and Roseman's Quintessence Award winner in restorative dentistry, handles cosmetic, implant, and clear aligner cases.
"Everyone gives that patient a sense that they belong there, that they're in the right place, and they're welcome here."
